2022 AlgomaTrad Virtual Auction
Welcome to the AlgomaTrad 2022 Online Auction!
The auction raises important funds to support the Nicholas Missere Bursary Fund and AlgomaTrad programming. Your bids make a difference!
HOW IT WORKS:
Click on the red “View All Items” button to see the amazing items. When you see something you like, there are two ways to bid:
EXACT BID: enter the amount you want to bid and make a one-time bid. If you are outbid, you will get an email notice so you can come back to bid again.
PROXY BID: decide the highest amount you want to bid for your item, and the computer will do your work for you. It will bid the lowest amount possible to keep you the winning bidder, and if someone outbids you it will raise your bid by the smallest increment allowed. It will stop when the bidding reaches the highest amount you specified, and if someone outbids your highest bid, you will get an email notice that you were outbid so you can come back to bid again. This is a great way to keep current with the bidding while you are busy having fun!
NEW FEATURE: Extended Bidding! If an item receives a bid during the final 3 minutes of the auction, the bidding time for that item only will be extended for 3 minutes to allow additional bidding. If the item gets another bid within that 3 minutes, then bidding will be extended for another 3 minutes. This process repeats until no new bids are received for the item during a 3 minute period OR for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Whichever way you choose to bid, you will get emails to tell you if someone has outbid you (oh no!) or if you are the winner (yay!).
At the end of the auction, winners will receive an email from the auction site and further instructions from AlgomaTrad.
Please note: to save AlgomaTrad fees, we would appreciate if you could pay by cheque or e-transfer if possible. However, if you prefer, you can pay through Stripe.
THE AUCTION ENDS FRIDAY, AUGUST 12th AT 10:30 P.M. so get your bids in before then!
Immense thanks to our generous and talented donors, and a huge thank you to all you great bidders! Your support is deeply appreciated. Together, we can help AlgomaTrad shine.
Happy bidding and good luck!
