Six year-old Abbey Taylor’s hope was that no child should ever suffer like she did as the result of an improperly maintained pool. In her name, the Foundation will work tirelessly toward a world with safer pools by providing education and advocating for comprehensive safety standards for all pools.
Today Abbey's Hope is a nationally recognized leader in drowning prevention. From free swim lessons and life jacket distributions to lobbying and legislation we do it all. In 2008, six-year-old Abbey Taylor died from injuries she received from an improperly maintained wading pool drain. Her hope was that no child would again suffer or die as the result of a preventable entrapment. The Abbey's Hope Charitable Foundation works tirelessly on her behalf.
