Hakili: The Women’s Drum Center's 2022 Concert and Silent Auction

“Hakili”, the theme of WDC’s 2022 concert and silent auction, is one of those universal words in many African languages that mean wisdom and insight. It invites you to live life with a good spirit and send good energy into the world.

CONCERT
The annual concert is a joyful opportunity to share WDC’s unique commitment to world percussion. It will feature WDC’s premier ensembles - drumHeart, Djembe Diyamu, Women Who Groove, Taikolaborative, and others. Tickets can be purchased at womensdrumcenter.org.

SILENT AUCTION proceeds help WDC:
    * Create a community of people who love drumming
    * Offer affordable classes and unique workshops with scholarship opportunities
    * Maintain a studio and inventory of drums for use in classes
    * Take drum circles to community groups and wellness gatherings
    * Present outreach programs in senior living centers and other residential sites
    * Offer unique programs exploring the wellness and health benefits of drumming

For over 30 years, the Women's Drum Center (WDC) has created a community of women and girls who love drumming. We offer all-female and co-ed classes using drums and percussion styles from around the world. We also have programs of drumming for health and healing. Our performing ensembles include drumHeart, Djembe Diyamu, and Women Who Groove. These ensembles present programs at our studio and community locations ranging from daycare centers to senior centers, schools, religious centers, and community events.
