About Our Auction

Wasatch Forensic Nurses recently expanded to include both Salt Lake and Utah Counties, this means that we go to where the victims are located. We provide compassionate care and professional timely evidence collection at 19 hospitals.

Our team doubled in size this past year and we need funding to provide our larger team with necessary equipment.

Your donation brings us closer to our goal of $50,000 to acquire Nurse Sexual Assault Supply Kits, cameras, monopods and tablets for electronic medical charting. Your donation allows us to be on-call provide these services to our communities 24/7 for the upcoming year at NO CHARGE to the victim!

About Wasatch Forensic Nurses

When an adult or teen is sexually assaulted, Wasatch Forensic Nurses (WFN) a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is ready to respond, providing care at 19 hospitals and clinics along Utah's Wasatch Front.

WFN is a group of 30+ nurses that provide sexual assault examinations and evidence collection for victims of sexual assault, free of cost to the patient. Our nurses take call 24/7 in Salt Lake and Utah Counties.

Our mobile team has been in place since 2001. We were the first sexual assault nurse examiner team in Utah and currently are the largest. In our first year we saw 69 patients, and in 2017 we saw close to 700.

Rape and sexual assault is a health care issue and the sooner we can intervene, the better.

In Utah 1 out of 3 women have been sexually assaulted, and 1 in 7 women raped. The number of men and transgendered people being reporting rape and sexual assault is increasing. We work to educate the community, along with our partners: Rape Recovery Center, UCASA, and Center for Women and Children in Crisis, Law Enforcement and the Utah State Crime Lab.

Our nurses are specially trained to give compassionate, trauma-informed health care, and to collect forensic evidence to assist the justice system in holding perpetrators accountable.

Your donation helps us support our recent expansion into Utah County, and to create public awareness that will let survivors know how and where to get help.

Thank you so very much for your participation and support!
