Your generosity also guarantees us the opportunity to provide educational concerts and employ over 85 professionally-trained classical musicians as we celebrate our 69th anniversary in providing quality classical music the Rio Grande Valley.

The Valley Symphony Orchestra is a professional non-profit symphony first established at Pan American College (now The University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley) in 1952. The Symphony is the region's premier classical music ensemble and provides the only consistent classical music performances south of San Antonio. The VSO presents 5 to 6 masterwork concerts and 6 educational concerts throughout a typical concert season and is led by Maestro Peter Dabrowski, Music Director/Conductor, who is celebrating his 20th anniversary with the organization in 2021. The VSO performs in the McAllen Performing Arts Center, a world-class 1800-seat hall that opened in 2016.
