About Our Auction
Welcome to our first annual Unitarian Universalist online auction. This auction is our biggest fundraiser every year. It supports the activities of this congregation as well it helps sustain our building and contributes funds toward our annual budget.
About Unitarian Universalists of the Cumberland Valley
Our mission as an enduring liberal religious community in the Unitarian Universalist tradition is to transform lives and care for the world. Every month we donate a portion of our weekly offerings to a local worthwhile organization that is doing what it can to support our local community. We also donate a portion of what we take in from our annual auction to such an organization. Our annual auction is usually held in mid to late November each year is our biggest fundraiser. We offer programs throughout the year such as OWL for both youth and adults. Religious education programs are offered to both adults and children to expand their knowledge, respect, and feeling for the world that surrounds us. We participate in conjunction with other local churches to provide overnight shelter for homeless women and children. We support the Mozambique Bursary Project which allows young women in that country to afford an education in which they learn and work to create better lives for those of this poor nation.
