Raising Funds to Re-Imagine Education

As part of our Annual Environmental Education Awards Celebration, we are auctioning items to help us generate funds to re-imagine education.

USEE is working on a number of innovative efforts to bring outdoor learning to schools this fall. Outdoor learning is a strategy to meet the needs of this moment and a movement to ensure that education is equitable and meaningful. We also support the educators that bring this learning to life! Funds will be used to support educators who wish to attend our annual conference in the fall and to support efforts related to outdoor learning.

The Utah Society for Environmental Education (USEE) is the statewide leader in promoting high-quality environmental education across Utah. USEE is the Utah Affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education. As part of this robust network we work to elevate the field of environmental education along with 50+ partner affiliates and over 150,000 educators.

USEE is now 40 years old but environmental education is more relevant than ever. A recent study by the Outdoor Foundation indicates that nearly half of all Americans don’t recreate outdoors. We understand that a strong connection to nature is vital to the health of our children and our communities. USEE actively works to deepen these connections by understanding the field of environmental education in Utah and providing the resources and tools to educators to make our field more robust and relevant. USEE strives to make the field of environmental education more equitable and accessible for all and advocates on behalf of sound environmental education policy.
