Tucker’s Legacy Auction

Tucker was a beautiful, blue-eyed, 8-week old puppy that had a congenital abnormality called Lar-Par. Often called “wheezer pups”-because their larynx is paralyzed & they struggle to breathe. It’s is a death sentence unless corrected by surgery. Long story short-Tucker was a fighter. He continued to astound his vets by making it thru the eventful days leading up to his risky surgery and surviving that. He was able to come home and be a happy puppy: Wagging his tail, playing with toys and snuggling his foster family. But all the hopeful thoughts of future adventures were snuffed out after a few short days. His weak little body just couldn’t handle his huge Spirit and at only 8 weeks 6 days, he gained his wings.

Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue and his foster family want to commemorate his fighting spirit and his amazing will to live. He touched everyone who saw him, prayed for him and donated for his surgery. He was such a spark of Joy in our lives️.

This auction-Tucker’s Legacy-will help that spark continue by raising funds for the Rescue that brought Tucker and his family in from a rural village in Alaska. And allowed him to have a chance at life.

Tucker was just 8 weeks old when he passed. So we are having this auction start on April 8th and run for 8 days. We are hoping to raise $8000 dollars which is about the amount his surgery and hospital care cost. These funds will allow us to provide a new dog family to be rescued and vetted in Tucker’s name, As well as raise awareness for Lar-par and provide funds for future Medical puppies.

Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue is an organization that rescues dogs from the community, Animal Control/Shelters and many bush communities throughout Alaska. We also take in unexpected/unplanned litters from the public and spay the mom so that no more “accidents” happen. All of the dogs and puppies rescued are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and evaluated before being placed up for adoption. All of our animals are cared for in foster care until they are ready for adoption. Our organization is supported by volunteers! We need volunteers to help with adoption clinics, transporting, answer phones, we also need volunteers to run errands during the week.

ADPR provides food, vet care and supplies and you provide the loving and safe environment for a dog or puppy until adopted. Every foster home we have is another life saved.
