About Our Auction

Tour des Chutes is a multi distance cycling and run/walk event that raises funds to support programs in the Central Oregon community for children and adults with cancer. The funds raised from this auction will directly support these individuals in a variety of ways, including food and gas cards for those who travel for treatment, integrative therapy (Reiki, massage, acupuncture) to help with the side effects of treatment, emergency funds for those who in need to pay for other medical expenses, and more. Since 2005 we have raised well over $1 million that continues to support both existing and new programs.

“If you’ve been affected by cancer and you live in Central Oregon, we want to help you thrive. For some, this means getting to their appointments without having to worry about money for gas and basic needs. For others, it’s about getting their energy back through exercise classes. When life feels like it’s been turned upside-down by a cancer diagnosis, knowing that such seemingly simple things are taken care of can provide a person with a much-needed sense of normalcy and control.”

~ Gary Bonacker, Tour des Chutes founder

About Tour des Chutes

A Central Oregon tradition since 2005, Tour des Chutes brings people together through cycling, running and celebration, honoring and supporting those whose lives have been affected by cancer. At Tour des Chutes, our mission is to support children and adults with cancer by funding services and initiatives that help them thrive.

Although we will not be supporting an in-person ride this year, we invite you to celebrate with us on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Worthy Brewing, followed by a virtual ride on Saturday, July 9. Register at tourdeschutes.org.

Since our inaugural event, Tour des Chutes has donated well over $1 million to our community partners to help individuals with access to cancer treatment, manage side effects, participate in free community wellness classes, and more.
