About The Arc of Aurora
Since 1975, The Arc of Aurora has been a celebrated organization making an impact for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. That’s over four decades of transforming lives for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) and other I/DDs.

-Advocated for nearly 200 children and adults with I/DD and their families in Aurora, CO;
-Produced and published more than 70 educational videos on a variety of disability issues including schooling a child in special education at home, completing the census, and voting;
-Launched an online training platform at www.thinkchange.academy;
-Wrote for a nationally distributed newsletter about juveniles with disabilities in prison;
-Trained over 100 victim providers throughout CO on how to support crime victims with I/DD;
-Presented, virtually, at a national conference on the Special Education Pipeline-to-Prison; and
-Received a 2020 Top-Rated nonprofit award from Greatnonprofits.org
