About Our Auction
The mission of The Jerry Barsha Memorial Foundation is to help fund a college student who may be pursuing a career in the broadcast media, and journalism field. We can't mention enough that Jerry Barsha was a stellar anchorman, unbiased news reporter, and cared about his community. We continue to strive to keep his spirit alive through the next generation who want those same goals.
This virtual art auction proceeds be funding a scholarship for a student pursuing a degree in the Broadcast Media Communications department at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse NY where our Dad, Jerry Barsha taught. Our foundation is a 501c3, so if you want to buy art from the auction or make a donation then your donation is tax deductible. We will open the site for perusing on September 22nd but we won't have the bidding start until Sunday October 1st at 9:00am (EST) and the auction will close at 11:00 pm (EST ) Saturday October 7th.
