Splish Splash We Need a New Bath

How often do we take our abilities or our home comforts for granted? For many of us, we hop out of bed and jump into the shower—others prefer to luxuriate in a nice bath. When you live in a care home, those things are still vitally important; however the experience is quite different. The benefits of bathing are more than skin deep—bathing promotes a feeling of well-being. In the tub you feel lighter; moving stiff limbs becomes easier and can help maintain mobility. And more than physical benefits, bathing is mentally beneficial as it can soothe away stress.

Over our 30 years, Columbus has been able to create wonderful spa-like bathing environments for our residents—spaces that promote hygiene, relaxation and well-being.

Columbus Residence needs to replace its existing tubs. This auction will help raise funds so we ensure our residents maintain their quality of life.

Since October 1990, Columbus Residence has operated as a not-for-profit society offering services in intermediate and complex care, dementia care and independent housing for seniors.
