SoLA 2020 PANDEMIC WINTER FUNDRAISER

The proceeds will go towards SoLA continuing exhibitions and outreach programs including SoLA's newly developing Creative X Change Program starting in 2021 for emerging artists:

Participants in our Creative X Change will work in small groups under the mentorship of professional practicing artists. This exchange will help artists build the fundamental skills necessary to a successful career, including statement writing, critical analysis, and curatorial experience. This year-long program will culminate in the collective conceptualization, execution, and promotion of a formal exhibition at SoLA Contemporary.

In the last year, SoLA Contemporary has proudly become a woman/nonbinary and minority-led nonprofit. Respect, open-mindedness, and a dedication to uplifting artists of color is paramount to our mission. SoLA Contemporary was founded in 2017 with the goal of bringing art, education, and opportunity to the South LA community. We offer a wide array of programs and services, including art exhibitions, open mic nights, critique groups, free workshops, and city-wide collaborative art projects.
