About Our Auction
Welcome to the British Columbia Aviation Council Silver Wings Online Auction running from October 5 to 21 closing at noon. Half of all proceeds are used to support our $70,000+ value Scholarship Award Program. This is Canada’s largest Aviation and Aerospace scholarship initiative.
The remaining proceeds are used to support and rebuild BCAC programs and services to the Aviation and Aerospace Community - especially our extremely active Youth offerings.
Donated items that are not physical/electronic vouchers or gift certificates must be shipped by the donor to the winning bidder’s location within BC at the donor’s expense. Items donated for the auction will be accepted until end of October 17th.
All personal cash donations will receive a charitable tax receipt from the BC Aviation Council. Charitable tax receipts for winning bids are not permitted.
A proxy bid allows you to enter the maximum amount you're willing to spend with the goal of winning the item at the lowest possible price. The system will bid for you, up to your maximum proxy bid amount, as additional bids are entered on the item.
An exact bid is the amount you want the item's current selling price to immediately jump to. Your bid amount will not change as additional bids are entered on the item.
If an item receives a bid during the final 3 minutes of the auction, the item end time will be extended to allow for 3 additional minutes of bidding. This process repeats until no new bids are received during the final 3 minutes of the item bidding window or the auction has been extended for a maximum of 30 minutes beyond the original end time.
The British Columbia Aviation Council
Since 1938, the British Columbia Aviation Council has worked tirelessly to ensure an aviation and aerospace industry that is visible, connected and thriving. With over 1,150 Supporting Members and another 7,850 Supporters, the BCAC is the oldest and most active regional aviation and aerospace council in the country.
The Silver Wings Industry and Scholarship Awards Celebration will be held at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre on Friday, November 14, 2025. Details are at bit.ly/SW-25. We will eclipse the 2024 event which was another huge success, once again setting record attendance.
Our next conference, "Soaring Above Challenges - Eyes on the Horizon", will be in Kelowna at the historic, lakeside Eldorado properties from May 25-27, 2026. It is one of North America’s leading aviation and aerospace policies/programs events and drives the BC Aviation Council’s agenda for the following year. Details and registration can be found at bit.ly/BCAC26.
