About Our Auction
Our 40th Anniversary celebration continues and celebrates the holidays with the introduction of our 12 Bids of Christmas campaign – an online silent auction that will run for 12 days only - December 1-12!
If you are looking for the perfect gift for a loved one or something to treat yo ‘elf this holiday season – we’ve got 12 items available to cross names off your list. Bid on some fabulous items including a signed Calgary Flames jersey from Mikael Backlund or Johnny Gaudreau, 8 unique Christmas Wine baskets, and 2 oral health essentials packages.
Each Christmas basket contains 5 bottles of wine complimented by some chocolate for yo ‘elf or to share. You or your loved one will enjoy a mix of wines from Europe and North America.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our athletes. Through Special Olympics, athletes develop sport skills, social skills, and self-esteem, which assist them in becoming actively involved in recreational, educational and employment opportunities in Calgary and surrounding areas. The funds raised by this silent auction will support SOA-Calgary athletes who are returning to our in-person programs.

Special Olympics Calgary is a volunteer driven registered charity, with the mission to enrich the lives of Albertans with an intellectual disability through sport. Our weekly sport programs focus on our athletes’ abilities, not their disability.
Special Olympics is in the community every day of the year! Over 850 athletes, with support and coaching from more than 300 volunteers, participate in 21 different summer and winter sports here in Calgary.
Special Olympics Calgary relies on the generosity of individuals, groups, corporations and special events to operate, as we receive no direct government funding to sustain our operations. 76% of our annual operating budget is raised through generous donations right here in Calgary. Currently, we require approximately $700,000 yearly to cover the costs associated with programming. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will directly help us to achieve this goal.
