About Our Auction

As many of you know, the annual St. Luke’s Day School Auction Night is a major revenue generating event for the School. A successful event is imperative as net proceeds from the Auction go directly to the operating budget for the school. Due to restrictions we were unable to hold the auction this year. We hope that next year we will be able to do some sort of in person event, but that is all still to be determined.

With that said, we have decided to host a Drive-Thru/Online Basket Auction: Let There Be Light! The class baskets, historically, have been hot ticket items and, collectively, a large driver of the overall success of the Auction.

Each classroom was given a theme and our wonderful volunteers have coordinated with their class parents to collect donations and prepare a basket to be auctioned off. The baskets will be displayed in the parking lot (weather permitting) the first full week in May.

Special THANK YOU to our Class Basket volunteers:
Toucan Class: Melissa Carle
Hippos Class: Megan Manzo
Giraffe Class: Melissa Carle

Elephant Class: Jenny Burek
JK Class: Tricia Mesaros

About St. Luke's Day School

St. Luke’s Day School, a central mission of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, was established in 1958. It is operated under the supervision and control of the Director of the Day school, Anne Marie Coggins, the St. Luke’s Day School Board of Trustees, and the Vestry and the Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

Our program, with various learning activities and playtime, prepares the children to recognize and use their intellectual and creative abilities in future learning tasks. We base our curriculum on an initiative developed by the Virginia Department of Education called Virginia’s Foundation Blocks for Early Learning.

Look often into our busy, noisy, creative classrooms and see your child at work and play. Play is an important part of learning and creates the appropriate skill level for optimum learning to be achieved. Above all we, give them time to grow; time and room to explore; to experiment; and to discover. We offer them time to play… time to be a child.
