Sligo Creek Ed Foundation 2019 Silent Auction

This is our annual fundraising event, with all funds going towards the mission of the Sligo Creek Education Foundation. Among other efforts, this includes funding for the Outdoor Classroom, the Newspaper Club, and a new Playground Canopy to be built over a significant portion of the school's recess space.

The online Silent Auction (March 1-10) will go live 12-days before the in-person event and end 2-days before the live auction. The remaining items will then transition to live bidding at Astro Lab Brewery, from 6:30pm-8:30pm on March 12th. This event is open to everyone.

Parent volunteers created the Sligo Creek Education Foundation in 2014 to raise additional funds to support Sligo Creek Elementary School. The Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organization focusing on long-term programs and projects. We work closely with our partners—the PTA and school leadership —to identify ways to enrich the educational experience.

The Foundation was born out of the successful fundraising efforts of the Outdoor Classroom. As we researched other education foundations in Montgomery County, we realized that a foundation can be a great asset to the school. The 2015-16 school year was our first year of funding projects and we have continued to increase our impact on the school community ever since.
