About Our Auction

Please Note: slight change - the online auction will end at 8:45 PM, with the silent auction running another 30 minutes.

The SCA is holding its annual Fundraising Event and Auction on May 17, 2016 at The Royal Room.

Your auction bids will help to support our educational and networking events, annual call for scores, and industry outreach to help connect composers with the film, media and gaming communities. All SCA events are open to the public, and are funded by proceeds raised from the evening’s silent auction and raffle.

Highlights from the last year of SCA activities:

2nd Annual International Call for Scores Competition - for strings (solo to quartet), with a performance and recording of the winning scores April 26, 2016 at the Chapel at Good Shepherd Center.

"Brass Techniques and Orchestration" by Dr. Brian Chin
"Writing for Various Guitar Styles" by Michael Nicolella
Demo Derby Days - show-and-tell events held at Seattle Film Institute (SFI)
"Meet People / Get Gigs:How to Network for Real" by Akash Thakkar of SFI

Sponsor: Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF)
Sponsor: SIFF Panel Discussion on Film Scoring
Sponsor: Local Sightings Film Festival, including cash awards

NOTE: SCA encourages you to create an account on 32auctions.com even if you will be bidding in person at the silent auction at the Royal Room. This will make it easier for you to bid and speed up the checkout process at the end of the evening.

The online auction ends at 8:45 PM May 17. Silent auction will continue until 9:15 PM. Proxy bids can still win the auction after final silent bid is received. In the unlikely event of a tied bid between online and silent bidders, the bidder in attendance at the event will be awarded the auction.
