About Our Auction
The Red River Gorge Climbers' Coalition has worked over twenty years to secure access to the cliff line found on National Forest and private land in Eastern Kentucky. In 2012, we paid off the mortgage and purchase and continue to manage the PMRP. In 2013, we bought the MFRP and paid off its mortgage back in 2017, paving the way for our most recent purchase -- the BRRP. The RRGCC needs your support to help pay off the remaining loan on this land and continue sustainably maintaining all of our properties.
In addition, the RRGCC works to educate new climbers through stewardship presentations, and ethics reminders. To repair the roads, trails and bridges, make the mortgage payments, secure new land, and educate climbers, the RRGCC has an annual combined operational & capital budget of $100,000.

We're a group of dedicated volunteers trying our best to make sure the nation's best climbing destination, the Red River Gorge, will always have open access to climbing. It's a hard battle, at times trying, but one we all care passionately about. We believe that, through coordination among climbers and local landowners, we can find ways to make climbing in Eastern Kentucky sustainable and beneficial for all.
