Prospect Communities Alberta Fires Appeal

Community members from the Prospect area have partnered with the Resource Opportunities Centre (ROC), in an effort to raise funds for the more than 70,000 people affected by the forest fires in Alberta and the largest fire related evacuation in the history of the province.

All proceeds from this auction will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal initiative.

Canadian Red Cross Appeals: "When we launch an appeal, donations made in response to it are used to help communities and countries identified in the appeal to recover from emergencies and disasters by providing immediate assistance and relief."

The Resource Opportunities Centre is a not for profit, community development organization that, in addition to many other initiatives, operates the Prospect Road Community Centre via lease agreement with the city of Halifax.
