About Our Auction

Revelstoke Museum and Archives is a dynamic space where the community and its history is celebrated. After years of planning, a vertical platform lift at Revelstoke Museum and Archives is getting closer to becoming a reality!

The total cost of this project is $700,000. The majority of these costs have been covered by grants, but the museum launched their LIFT-OFF Fundraising Campaign in November to raise the remaining $100,000. As of January 2024, we were only $30,000 away from that goal! All of the funds generated from the auction will be put towards the Lift campaign.

About Revelstoke Museum & Archives

Revelstoke Museum and Archives is a dynamic space where the community and its history is celebrated. After years of planning, a vertical platform lift at Revelstoke Museum and Archives is getting closer to becoming a reality!

The 1926 heritage Post Office building has been home to the museum since 1974, but it was not built with accessibility in mind. The building has stairs to enter the main floor, and even more stairs to the second floor. This is an insurmountable barrier for many people, and has stopped people from accessing the museum exhibits and programs, such as Brown Bag History. This project will remove our biggest barrier to accessibility.
