Pine’s Color Run for Technology Auction

We are hoping to purchase a desperately needed computer cart for the students at Pine. Currently there is a 1:10 ratio of computers to students and there are not enough computer carts to share between the classrooms in order to complete necessary lessons. The lack of computer carts also extends standardized testing because students have to take turns using computers. The existing carts are old and many computers have stopped working. The carts hold 30 laptops and cost approximately $16,000. Let’s have some fun running and bidding on the items from our generous community partners and make this happen for Pine! We’re also holding a Community Color Run in Sunday May 19th at 1pm at Hunsberger Elementary, running through ArrowCreek. Registration is available at the event or there is an auction item to register for the run.

Pine Middle School serves over 1000 students from the Reno airport to Mount Rose Ski resort. Due to the varied demographics and lack of funding, the students to not have access to the technology that they need to succeed. We are hoping to purchase an additional computer cart that can be shared between classrooms. These carts make a huge direct impact on the students’ education.
