PUENTE stands for “People United to Enrich the Neighborhood Through Education” and is also the Spanish word for “bridge. Over our 35-year history, PUENTE has served over 110,000 students with educational programs for children, youth, adults, and community members. Our work is making a difference every day. Now more than ever, we need your help to keep building bridges to education for Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles, and beyond.

PUENTE Learning Center is a place for learning, achievement, and success. We are committed to making education and job training skills accessible to all. PUENTE offers classes for students of all ages, from 3 to 80+.

For children, we operate Preschool, Charter School, After-School, and Summer Camp programs. For youth and adults, PUENTE classes include College and Career Readiness, Digital Initiatives, English as a Second Language, High School Diploma & HiSET Certification, and more.

PUENTE is proud to be part of the Boyle Heights neighborhood, a primarily immigrant community, having served over 110,000 students in our 35-year history.
