Tla'amin Alternate Jerseys

Take home a piece of the action! The Powell River Kings are auctioning off game-worn jerseys from the 2022-23 BCHL Season.

Our special edition alternate jerseys recognize and pay tribute to the Tla'amin First Nation, the original residents and guardians of the northern Sunshine Coast. Featuring a specially-designed golden eagle emblem, made by Sosan Blaney, as well as the traditional location name of "tiskwat", the jerseys are Reconciliation Orange in colour, with the Kings' primary Forest Green and Gold as accent colours. The jerseys also bear the logo of Texada Transfer, our proud jersey partner who helped bring this design to life.

The jerseys have been worn across multiple games at the Hap Parker Arena, from January 14th to March 17th of 2023. Each uniform features wear-and-tear from BCHL game action, and is sold as-is. The goaltenders’ jerseys, #33 Liam Vanderkooi and #35 Kyle Metson, are Goalie Cut 2XL in size, and all other jerseys are a size XL. Jerseys were worn on the following dates:

Saturday, January 14th vs. Chilliwack
Saturday, February 11th vs. Alberni Valley (during warm-up)
Saturday, March 4th vs. Victoria
Friday, March 17th vs. Cowichan Valley (upcoming)

The Powell River Kings are a junior hockey club based on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, and are proud members of the British Columbia Hockey League since 1988. Our goal is to identify, support, and develop aspiring hockey players into upstanding global citizens and earn scholastic and professional hockey opportunities, whilst providing the residents of Powell River with exciting entertainment and civic pride.

When warm-up begins at the Hap Parker Arena on March 17th, the online portion of the auction ends - and the bidding switches to in-venue! Don't want to leave it up to chance? Click the Buy It Now button and save your preferred jersey from going to auction.

If you are the leading bidder on a jersey at the end of the online bidding window, you could still win! If your bid stands as the highest bid when the buzzer sounds at the end of the 3rd period, you will be contacted by Kings staff. All winner information will be posted to the Kings' website and social media channels. If the highest bidder can not be contacted within one week of the conclusion of the March 17th game, the Kings reserve the right to offer the jersey to the next-highest bidder at their bid price.
