About Our Auction
The American Express Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf is pleased to launch its seventh auction fundraiser in collaboration with the Lorena Ochoa Foundation, whose mission is to support marginalized children to reach a balanced life through educational programs, sports, healthy living and self-esteem seminars.
Since 2007 the Lorena Ochoa Foundation´s main project has been to help La Barranca Educational Center, located in La Coronilla, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Guadalajara. La Barranca works with an innovative teaching model related to children´s nature in motion.
Likewise, as well as PEACE Punta Mita : determined that to influence social change within the local villages that would endure over time, it should create programs designed on the principle of “a hand-up, not a hand-out”. A large percentage of the villagers are under-educated, relatively poor, and with limited employability scope. PEACE recognized the best chance for success would be to invest in the younger generation - the children and youths - from kinder to high school inclusive. Having a longer view, with longer term objectives, focusing on education for the younger generation, has the best chance to effect lasting change, and that is the basis of all PEACE programs.

La Fundación DINE Punta Mita fue creada con el loable objetivo de brindar un apoyo constante a la comunidad de Bahía de Banderas. Su compromiso se basa en respaldar a diversas fundaciones locales ya establecidas en la zona, así como a programas enfocados en áreas como Educación, Comunidad, Salud y Entorno Social.
