Paws Across Orcas Virtual Auction

Though we miss seeing all of your faces at our annual live auction and wine dinner. We are excited to be hosting our first virtual auction. This was made possible through the many supporters that love our shelter and the animals we care for.

Our shelter is solely funded through the support of friends like you. The generosity of our supporters has helped sustain the shelter over this difficult past year and allowed us to provide spay and neuter assistance to those in our community and provide a safe space for pets in need. Though we stretch every dollar we receive, our shelter overhead is not cheap. It will cost over $160,000 to get us through this year. Our shelter income (including adoptions, dog licenses and pet services) covers less than 15% of this cost.

Orcas Animal Protection Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter serving San Juan County in Washington State. We serve the animals and people in our community by providing safe shelter for strays and owner released cats and dogs, operating an adoption program, and educating pet owners and youth on responsible pet ownership. We also provide low cost spays and neuters to help reduce the number of unwanted animals, offer a safe place for pets when an owner has a medical emergency, and transfer in pets from over crowded shelters in Washington State.​​ Our organization is supported through the generosity of friends like you.​
