Christmas Silent Auction

Okotoks Public Library (OPL) has expanded! In late Summer 2021 we moved into our new and expanded space of 24,069 square feet – a 66% larger space!

The OPL Board needs to outfit this expanded space with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFEs) and we need your help! Our latest fundraiser gives you the opportunity to bid on some really amazing items just in time for the holiday season: Gift certificates from local businesses including Home Depot, Suzanne’s & Jenny’s and Heartland Cafe & Restaurant, a quilting gift basket, a flat iron and styling products and many other items.

The Okotoks Public Library has been a fixture of the Okotoks community since 1977! We've come a long way from the tiny little room on main street, first moving to 7 Riverside Dr. in 1990 and then expanding (to almost double the size!) in 2005. In 2021 we expanded our space again by more than 60% and are now part of the Okotoks Arts & Learning Campus. We are a member of the Marigold Library System and a part of the resource sharing mechanism of TRAC which is Alberta wide. We are proud to serve the Town of Okotoks and surrounding Foothills County.

Our recent expansion required us to develop a fundraising campaign titled “Come Grow With Us”. As part of this on-going campaign, we are hosting an online Christmas Silent Auction in support of the library.

All funds raised through this auction will help supply the library with updated furniture, fixtures and equipment.
