About Our Auction

Last spring, just before facemasks became mandatory and playdates moved to Zoom, NMS hosted our first school-wide Student Art Show. In conjunction with this event was a silent auction aimed at raising funds for Tiffany's vision of a dedicated, fenced-in play area for the students of NMS. Each classroom collaborated on an item to be auctioned, and family and friends bid generously on these one-of-a-kind creations. It is because of this generosity that Tiffany's vision came to fruition.

Since opening in November, students have been thoroughly enjoying the new play area. They've been busy making mud pies in the kitchen built by CH1 Parent, Patrick Creamer. At the opposite end from the mud kitchen is an oversized sandbox made by Tiffany's husband, Brian, and son, Richie. They also made the planter where our Summer Arts Program students will learn about planting a garden. Soon there will be tree rounds for building and creative play courtesy of CH2 Parent, Ryan Torcicollo.

Auction proceeds this year we will be used to add more fun elements, such as a climbing dome and ball ramp! Other additions we hope to add in the near future include:

• Peace pole
• Outdoor chalkboard/art panel
• Sandbox cover
• Music cube or wall
• Weaving loom
• Large scale
• Storage area or container for natural building supplies (rocks/sticks/pinecones, etc.)

As always, thank you for your support and let the bidding begin!
