Make Waves First Annual Auction

Musicians in Solidarity is pleased to present ‘Make Waves’, an educational model which aims to breathe new life into existing music programs. Designed to reach underserved communities, Make Waves assists by providing scholarships, instruments and technology to students while simultaneously supporting diverse hiring practices.

Musicians in Solidarity recognizes the value of students learning in equitable and inclusive environments and prioritizes the diversification of music education. Through fundraising initiatives, MiS supports the costs of hiring new staff by funding year-long scholarships for new students, and providing our partner music schools with new visibility in the underserved communities they were designed to reach.

Musicians in Solidarity is thrilled to be joining forces with Ethos Music Center to launch this initiative, program. To apply for this scholarship, please fill out the application below. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come first serve basis.

It is the vision of Musicians In Solidarity to ensure an inclusive and supportive music industry which upholds equal rights for all people. It is our mission to identify need and leverage equity in our industry to promote this vision.

Through our membership, we are creating a database of industry professionals who support the Black Lives Matter movement and all BIPOC lives, and establishing guidelines for our collective meaningful action.

We are building partnerships with existing nonprofit institutions and organizations to help connect BIPOC students and professionals with venues and other musical platforms who provide safe spaces for BIPOC artists.

We are fundraising to offer equity training and education to our members, and to provide resources and mentorship to BIPOC entrepreneurs who seek to open music related businesses.
