About Our Auction

The Maine Osteopathic Educational Foundation is excited to share our first ever ONLINE Silent Auction! We hope you will enjoy as you peruse the items and have some fun!

About our Silent Auction:

This is the MOEF's largest fundraiser of the year, and it helps raise funds that support the foundation's mission of:
Educating Maine students in osteopathic medicine; providing continuing education for existing physicians; and improving the health of all Maine people through education and research.

In 2020, we were able to award 6 deserving Maine-resident medical students in their goals of finishing the College of Osteopathic Medicine and practicing medicine here in Maine. This is the most we have supported in our scholarship program to date! We also supported UNE COM and other organizations within our state that aligned with promoting health and wellness across Maine, to include support for Maine healthcare workers during Covid-19.

In true tradition we chosen to host the MOEF Silent Auction concurrently with our Annual Midwinter Symposium. The only difference is this year, they are both being held virtually, as many many events are! If you happened to miss registration for the Midwinter, don't worry, it will be available for on-demand viewing after the conference concludes as well!

We are excited to share that our Auction site will "GO LIVE" Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 12pm and will remain open for bidding and donations until Sunday, February 14th at 12pm. Winners will be annouced during the MOA Team's Live Annoucements at 12:30pm during the conference break!

A special Thank You our 2020 Donors and Friends! We are excited to see what 2021 will bring!

About Maine Osteopathic Educational Foundation

The Maine Osteopathic Educational Foundation (MOEF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose primary goals are to:

· Educate Maine students in osteopathic medicine;

· To provide continuing education for existing physicians; and

· To improve the health of all Maine people through education and research.

History of the MOEF and the D.O. Campaign:

The MOEF Fundraising Committee officially launched the “Distinguishing Ourselves: Preserving the Past and Preparing for the Future” fundraising campaign in June of 2013 and began with a gift in memory of Louis Hanson, DO. The original fundraising goal of $250,000 to build an endowment dedicated to the three goals stated above, was reached in the first 3 years of the campaign. Further contributions are needed to protect and promote osteopathic medicine for generations to come.

Each year multiple $1000 scholarships are awarded to deserving medical students from Maine. Donate to support this cause!
