When you think of Superheroes do you think about Superman and wonder woman? I want to introduce you to a Real life superhero, Leslie Baker.
Leslie was diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian cancer in March 2015 at the age of 31. She refused to give up and has had over 50 rounds of chemotherapy, a total hip replacement in 2017, multiple stents placed in kidneys, a seizure and mini stroke in Ded 2019 and in July 2020 she had 3 bowel blockages and given a week to live without another major surgery to place a colostomy. Leslie was told that she would never walk again and be bedridden. She has defied all odds. She's walking and living each day to the fullest. She has been in unbearable pain but keeps a smile on her face.
Leslie has lead a life of service and caretaking. Both her parents died of cancer, her father of kidney cancer and her mother to breast cancer. She was tested and there was no genetic link to her own cancer. She cared for her parents as well as others in her professional life. Leslie was licensed and certified in drug and alcohol counseling and was the program manager in charge of a large methadone clinic. Her clients still praise her today for the wonderful care she provided.

Supplemental insurance is very expensive and additional alternative therapies that aren't covered are astronomically expensive. Due to covid we are unable to have an in person fundraiser so we are holding an online auction to help Leslie . Please join us and raise as much as we can for Our Superhero!
