James John PTA Prom: Under the Sea

The goal of Prom 2019 is to raise money for our school PTA, which staffs and funds all kinds of activities and events! Some of these include bringing high quality performers to school assemblies and organizing family engagements for Back to School, Dia de Los Muertos, and Multicultural Night celebrations, to name a few. And did you know that the PTA helps provide music programing for our students?

Also let’s not forget our amazing teachers. The PTA supports them with funding for classroom wish list items and field trips to places like Sauvie Island Center, Smith & Bybee lake, Rice NW Rocks & Minerals Museum and Oregon Children’s Theater, as well as annual teacher appreciation treats and gifts.

As Ms. Rolfe, our librarian, puts it, “No idea is too big or too small – James John PTA makes it happen. The school would be a different place without their energy, passion, and vision.”

We are a group of parents, teachers, and community members who join together to coordinate and facilitate family participation and teacher support within our school and community. The PTA is a non-profit; we fundraise in order to provide these different forms of assistance for our school staff and families.

It’s prom for adults! Live band (End of the Day), photo booth, raffle and silent auction, beer/wine and food! 21+

“Under the Sea” Prom 2019 will be held at Prados Event Hall (10105 N. Lombard Ave. Portland, Oregon 97203) on May 4th from 5:30-9:30 PM.
