About Our Auction

Dear Friends of Peacock,

A few months ago, we were looking forward to seeing you tonight for an evening of dancing, food, drinks and fun. Much has changed and even a few weeks ago when we made the decision to cancel the event, we did not foresee that most of us would be spending tonight (and all our evenings) “socially distanced” in our homes.

While we can’t gather in person, we hope you’ll join us for A (Virtual) Island Affair, featuring an amazing array of silent auction items, all benefiting Peacock Family Services.

Our spring celebration is typically our largest fundraiser, representing 25-30% of our annual donated funds, which enable us to provide tuition assistance, deliver caregiver education programs, and offer programs for parents, caregivers, families and children in our community.

Now more than ever, community support is vital to Peacock’s ability to continue serving the public. Childcare centers are exempt from the closure requirements and in fact are encouraged by the State to stay open to meet critical needs for childcare. However, after a short voluntary closure, we will be operating well below sustainable enrollment levels. The need to provide tuition assistance remains high and will only grow in the coming months, and our ability to keep our staff employed also depends on our ability to continue operating both now and in the coming months. 100% of the proceeds from our online auction go directly to Peacock’s programs.

The fabulous auction items include an up-close-and-personal Sounders package, a year of tickets to The Crocodile, homemade desserts and breakfasts, baskets for cats and for dogs, and many more. The “Social Distancing Basket” will come in handy immediately - the Hella Mega Tour and other outings are for when we’re out in public again.

So, pour yourself a drink, put on some dancing tunes, and start bidding! (If you’re an introvert, this virtual event is made for you!) The auction will stay open until Saturday, March 28, 2020. Check back often to see how your bids are doing!

Best wishes and stay healthy,

Peacock Family Services' Board and Staff

PS - Nothing in the auction strikes your fancy, or you got out-bid? Please consider a donation directly to Peacock to support our community programs.
