Help us meet our financial goals while finishing off your holiday shopping. Bid online until November 29th and/or come to downtown Exeter on Thursday, November 30th for the Festival of Trees, Holiday Bash, and AIM's Holiday Open House at the Folsom Tavern where the auction continues in person.

Founded in 1991 in historic Exeter, NH, the American Independence Museum develops programs, exhibits, tours, and events that advance a more inclusive understanding of the fight for Independence

To engage, educate and excite people of all ages, to understand and celebrate the American struggle for freedom and self-governance and to preserve and share our buildings, grounds and collection so they will be an inspiration for generations to come.

We believe that all voices and all perspectives matter, which is an ideal made implicit with the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787. Although composed of many voices, “We Are One” people, one nation, one planet…

…For the next three years, “We Are One” will serve as the American Independence Museum’s motto as we prepare for the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026. This motto will inform our decision-making, program-building, and community interactions, as we position ourselves in New Hampshire as a resource, community gathering spot, and a source of inspiration.

Join us on November 30th from 4 to 8 pm, as Folsom Tavern will be decorated for the season and open to the public for a Holiday Tavern Open House, presented by M&T Bank.

At this event, we will feature hot beverages and snacks in addition to informal presentations about colonial drinks (coffee and tea). We will also have a gift shop set up within Folsom Tavern, so be prepared to do some shopping, too!
