This auction has several features:

Buy It Now - a bidder can buy an item at any time for the buy it now price.

Extended Bidding - bidding will not end on an item until there has been 3 minutes of inactivity. Extended bidding can last up to 30 minutes after the auction close.

Proxy Bidding - the bidder can place a private maximum bid and the computer will bid on your behalf if you are outbid, up to your maximum bid.
