Our unwavering mission is to ensure Hayward teachers and students have the essential books, manipulatives, and necessary resources to create a vibrant, thriving, and engaging learning environment. With the support and generosity of donors like you, we have made substantial strides towards our goal.

Last year, we were successful in channeling your contributions to numerous schools and their groundbreaking projects, detailed on our website. Together, we enhanced and enriched the educational experiences of Hayward's youth, and for that, we are immensely grateful.

As we launch into the new academic year, we are committed to helping our students and teachers "Soar into Excellence." We aim to provide a platform for collaborative learning, innovative problem-solving, and most importantly, the opportunity to pursue quality education, unrestricted by economic or social constraints.

However, to achieve these goals, we need your support.

The Hayward Education Foundation relies completely on the generosity of sponsors and donors. Our capacity to bring change is directly proportional to the contributions we receive. Therefore, your involvement in our mission is instrumental to our success.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, our goal is to raise the needed funds to equip our teachers with additional tools and resources, that will facilitate captivating and extended lessons to ignite our students' imaginations. The majority of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, making them the most vulnerable and in urgent need of our support, particularly compared to other local school districts.

Your invaluable partnership enables us to do more for these students, leveling the playing field and providing equal opportunities for them to be engaged and enthusiastic about learning.

Our upcoming online auction, "Soar into Excellence," will be held from September 21st to 26th. We invite you to participate in this event and contribute towards enhancing our ability to reach more schools, classrooms, and students. Plan to attend our 40th Anniversary Party at City Hall on October 19.

The Hayward Education Foundation is a non-profit organization (501(c)3) whose purpose is to enhance the educational opportunities for students in all Hayward schools. We achieve this by providing support to teachers for innovative projects in Hayward classrooms.

Since 1983, the Hayward Education Foundation (HEF) has depended upon the community’s generosity to generate the funds necessary to support innovative and creative classroom projects. Since inception, we have given over $1,040,000 to Hayward classrooms. Our success is based on the funds we raise through your generous donations. We can only give what we receive.
