The Great Granny Harvest Auction

Celebrate the harvest with the Wakefield Grannies by bidding on a unique culinary creation prepared with love from our community in order to raise much needed funds for monthly food relief for our sister grandmothers and their families in South Africa.

The Wakefield Grannies and the Gogos (grandmothers) of Alexandra township and Natal province have been joined in solidarity for close to 20 years. At least 50 families receive monthly food supplies each year. We are very grateful for your continued support to this grassroots endeavour.

The Wakefield Grannies support AIDS Orphans and their Grandmothers in South Africa in both Alexandra Township, Gauteng, through the  Orphans' Project and in Nulazatsche village in Kwazulu Natal through the Rotary Club of Pietermaritzburg.  We provide financial assistance, friendship, solidarity and mutual moral support.
