Rain Barrel Silent Auction

This is Germantown High School's 14th annual rain barrel silent auction. You can make a bid on any of these barrels as many times as you want. You just have to beat the highest bid.

A minimum of $5.00 should be used to outbid someone else. Bidding will end Thursday April 25th at 3pm. You will need to watch to make sure your bid is the highest. Calls will go out to the highest bidder, if we can't get a hold of you, a message will be left. If there is no response after 24 hours, the barrel will go to the second highest bidder.

This year, donations are going to pond and trail maintenance, Germantown High School Greenhouse and courtyard clean up, and other projects at Germantown High School. The minimum bid for each barrel is $100.00. A regular undecorated rain barrel can go for $130.00. Most of these barrels have over 15 hours of painting invested in them by art students from the high school. In addition, the downspout attachment and spigot are included with your purchase.

All rain barrels can viewed and bid on from this auction site. If you'd like to see the rain barrels in person they can be found at the following locations in Germantown, WI until April 24th: #1-5 are at Pick n Save, #6-10 are at Sendicks, and #11-21 are at the public library.

The Germantown High School's Environmental Club fundraises heavily during the spring season to fund the following school year's projects. This school year's projects have included: installing doors and security to the high school's courtyard so that it can now be used by students and staff, planting trees on the school's property, and maintaining trails to the ponds on the school's property. We also participate in educational outreach to the elementary schools and are working to eliminate waste in our schools by replacing disposable silverware with reusable.

There are more outdoor projects are in the works and our largest effort is directed at funding a greenhouse for the high school. Fundraisers like this rain barrel silent auction, bake sales, sponsorship drives, and a 5k Fun Run are all helping us to reach our club's goals.
