Silent Auction in support of Karin Beith in her courageous fight against breast cancer

About For Karin Beith - Benefit Concert & Silent Auction

Karin is a remarkable individual who radiates positivity and resilience in the face of adversity. Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, she has demonstrated unwavering love, compassion, and selflessness throughout life's journey. As a single mother, she has also embraced the role of caring for foster children with open arms, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment. An avid animal lover, Karin finds solace and joy in the company of her furry companions. Her adventurous spirit and love for travel have taken her to various destinations, enriching her life with new experiences and perspectives. A devoted fan of the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds and the Ottawa Senators, she finds joy and camaraderie in supporting her beloved teams.

Tragically, in the summer of 2022, Karin experienced a near unbearable truth with the sudden and devastating death of her life partner Erik mere days before she was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. Unfortunately she has received the bad news that it has progressed to Stage 4 terminal cancer, leaving her with limited time left with us.

Currently undergoing treatment between the Sault and Ottawa, she remains a symbol of unwavering determination and love, touching the hearts of many with her enduring spirit and selflessness. She continues to battle this disease with remarkable courage and grace, and embodies positivity and hope despite all the setbacks she has endured. Her unwavering optimism, kindness, humour and strength serves as a source of inspiration to all who are fortunate enough to know her.

The travel between Ottawa and the Sault for medical treatments without the ability to generate income, has left her in extreme financial distress. As such, Joseph Kargi, pianist and singer-songwriter will be returning to play his hometown for the first time since 2015, to perform at a benefit concert inspired by his close friend Karin Beith’s courageous battle with terminal breast cancer. The benefit concert will take place at The Loft on May 5th with all proceeds generated and/or donations going directly to Karin and her family. The goal is to provide a long-lasting impact despite the future challenges ahead, allowing her the opportunity to seek alternative treatments and/or enjoy what time she may have left; though we hope that time is generous.

All proceeds raised through ticket sales and silent action at the event will be donated to Karin Beith & Family.
