About Our Auction
Traditionally, the Fredericton Arts Alliance holds a fundraising gala and art auction in October, but the Coronavirus pandemic has forced us into the on-line format for 2020. Still, we are opening the bidding at our normal time – 7 p.m. on a Thursday evening – Oct. 22. Auction will run until Saturday, November 21. We appreciate your continued support for the FAA.
Profits from the art auction help support various arts activities, such as our Arts News, Artists in Residence Program, Arts in the Schools program, Arts off the Street program and arts advocacy for the Fredericton Arts Community.

About Fredericton Arts Alliance
The Fredericton Arts Alliance (FAA) was created in 1999 to advocate on behalf of the arts and artists in the Fredericton region. In the following decade, the FAA organized candidate forums for every election, began publishing the ArtsNEWS every week, with a circulation growing to 1500, and started the annual summer Artists in Residence programme in the Garrison District. The FAA was instrumental in the initiative to create a community arts centre, The Charlotte Street Arts Centre, in what had been the Charlotte Street School. In 2009 the FAA became a registered charity, helped establish ArtsLink, a provincial organization working across the province, and began an annual fundraising Gala, originally called High on the Arts, and eventually For Arts' Sake. In 2020, in response to the pandemic, the FAA held a candidate forum on line, moved the Artists in Residence to interactive virtual presentations, and now are moving the Gala to the digital world.
