About Our Auction

In this strange year of Covid-19 we missed hosting our annual Fish & Fire dinner, Eddy Awards presentations and our silent auction fundraiser. Instead, we are conducting a limited auction and we invite you to bid!

About RIVER ACTION INC

For 36 years, River Action has fostered the environmental, economic, and cultural vitality of the Quad Cities region through the development of sustainable infrastructure, preservation of local wild places, conservation of natural resources, and presenting events that connect people with the Mississippi River. Key achievements include collaborating with local government and neighborhood groups to reduce storm water runoff through our Retain the Rain program, lighting the Centennial Bridge, launching the Channel Cat Water Taxi, completing seven-plus miles of bike trails, cleaning up the Nahant Marsh and establishing its education center, the RiverWay art program, and selling to citizens more than 4,500 rain barrels. River Action serves people of all ages and income levels, is non-discriminatory and routinely collaborates with other agencies, cities, and counties achieving much of its work with a large number of loyal volunteers. Over seven years, we have leveraged $140,000 from CommunityWorks into $1.4 million to fund conservation projects in Rock Island County. Finally, River Action achieves its vision by advocating for the protection of the Mississippi River; presenting educational programs, activities, events and projects that positively impact the citizens of the region and provide opportunities for residents to connect with rivers, acting as a catalyst for change by working with 13 communities, two states, and the many stakeholders of the Mississippi River.
