FRC Spelling Bee Fundraiser & Silent Auction

Your involvement in the FRC Spelling Bee and FRC Silent Auction supports our programming and helps us raise awareness about the importance of literacy, education, and family supports in our community.

Through your generous contributions, our two programs - Literacy Council and Parents as Teachers - will continue to provide individuals and families with the educational programming and resources they need and supports a connected and thriving community.

This auction would not be possible without the generous donations of businesses and organizations both locally and throughout the state. We are grateful for their generosity and support, and encourage our fundraiser attendees and auction bidders to support these wonderful, community-minded businesses and organizations!

The Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County (FRC) was established in 1997 as a nonprofit organization and is dedicated to supporting young children, their families, and adults through our main programs, parenting education and adult literacy, which are both offered free of charge.

Parents as Teachers Parents as Teachers is a free, evidence-based, voluntary program to support parents as their child's first and best teacher- answering questions, building on parenting skills, and providing help with early detection of any potential developmental delays in your child. Services include in-home or virtual visits and a variety of parenting classes to help families make the most of the early years.

The Literacy Council helps adults who want to read, write, and speak English better so they can achieve their goals for work, education, family life, and community involvement. Our caring, patient volunteer tutors provide free one-on-one tutoring for motivated adult learners across Sheboygan County.

The Workplace Literacy Program, an extension of the Literacy Council, provides an affordable, accessible way to integrate English language instruction into businesses for employees age 18 and up. We collaborate with each business to determine desired outcomes and create customized classes, with benefits to both employees and businesses alike.

Our mission is to provide families and individuals of Sheboygan County with educational programming and resources to support a connected and thriving community, with a vision that Sheboygan County families are informed and literate, having the tools to make confident and healthy decisions for themselves and their families.

All proceeds from the FRC's Spelling Bee Fundraiser and Silent Auction will benefit the Parents as Teachers and Literacy Council's volunteer tutor programs. Thank you for your support!
