Welcome to Family Promise of Sussex County's first ever VIRTUAL auction! First and foremost, thank you for your continued support of our agency. Your support of Family Promise of Sussex County shows you understand the importance of addressing family homelessness with a comprehensive approach. You know the answer isn’t shelter alone, but a collection of resources that empower families to lasting independence.

Now, with the global health crisis we’re facing, these families need your support more than ever.

Family Promise of Sussex County has built a reputation for providing shelter, food, and hope for families facing homelessness. Now, we must address a homeless epidemic during a viral pandemic. As COVID-19 presents unprecedented social and economic challenges, low-income families in this country are some of the hardest hit. Though our physical agency had to close its doors, we have still been providing services, meeting client needs, and finding housing through the pandemic! We were able to house (and furnish) TWELVE families during this time and we have been able to provide food and services to numerous other families in need.

The inherent nature of FPSC’s work unites our communities to help vulnerable families regain independence. But the health pandemic has introduced an unexpected level of insecurity and alarm for these families. Each spring, we hold a fundraiser to raise funds to support the programs that we provide in order to assist families and individuals experiencing a housing crisis. Now, when the need is greater than ever, we were forced to cancel our biggest fundraiser of the year and must find other ways to raise money to support this vulnerable population. Family Promise of Sussex County has been serving the community for over 25 years. At its inception, our agency was a grassroots effort to address homelessness in our county and surrounding regions, and has blossomed into a full spectrum of services to aid those experiencing a housing crisis. In 2022, Family Promise of Sussex County was able to assist 1,895 households!

The mission of Family Promise of Sussex County is to secure housing stability and sustainability for those in crisis… because everyone deserves a home.

Our approach involves prevention services before families become homeless, shelter to help families experiencing homelessness, and housing stabilization programs once families have secured housing. Our programs include Homelessness Diversion, Eviction Diversion, Homelessness Prevention, Rapid Rehousing, Permanent Supportive Housing, Mobile Outreach, Intensive Case Management, Housing Navigation, and Utility Assistance.
