2022 Fall Fundraiser (Friends of Pool 2)

Friends of Pool 2 is primarily a member-supported organization. We host only one fundraising event each year, which is our online auction. All auction packages have been donated to this fundraiser. The funds we raise are used to support our yearly events, programs, and initiatives. Those initiatives include the following:

1) funding + maintaining (5) "honor system" life jacket loaner stations located throughout Pool 2 and featuring all sizes of lifejackets for users to borrow and return.

2) educating active families about sustainable, responsible, and safe recreational and boating practices, as well as about keeping the river free of litter, invasive species, excess sediment, and other pollutants.

3) creating and sharing educational boat and water safety videos for YouTube, social media and website posting.

4) live in-person fishing clinics and year-round tackle loaner stations for local Pool 2 children and their families.

Friends of Pool 2 is a 501(c)3 charitable organization founded in 2012. We advocate for recreational river users of Pool 2 of the Mississippi River. Our members and supporters work with us to keep this Pool of the river clean, safe, and navigable. Your River. Your Voice.
