About Fashions for a Purpose
Our Purpose is to Engage, Educate & Empower as we Promote Safe Dating Practices & Raise Awareness Against Domestic Violence.
Who We Are
Founded in 2015, Fashions for a Purpose (FFAP) is a non-profit organization backed by The Mary Kay Foundation and based in San Luis Obispo County, California. We have since raised over $100,000 to support victims of all forms of domestic violence.
About Our Auction
Fashions for a Purpose is a non-profit based in SLO County focused on raising awareness about domestic violence (DV) through engagement, education and empowerment. FFAP was founded in 2015 by Kimberley Victor, an overcomer of domestic violence, who was moved to action after one of her Mary Kay consultants was murdered in a DV altercation. Every year in October, FFAP hosts a fashion show event featuring powerful guest speakers that promotes awareness about domestic violence, a silent online auction, generously filled swag bags, plus many other surprises. All proceeds raised are donated to DV organizations such as the Mary Kay Foundation and Lumina Alliance in SLO County. To date, this grass roots non-profit has raised over $100,000.
