About Our Auction

The Emily Whitehead Foundation, in partnership with Phacilitate, will be hosting a silent auction during the January 2020 Advanced Therapies Week conference in Miami, Florida. This fundraiser will help support our mission to fund pediatric immunotherapy research and "Activate the Cure" for children fighting cancer all over the world.

The Emily Whitehead Foundation supports advancements in research that lead to the development of less toxic and more targeted treatments for children fighting cancer.

Childhood cancer is the number one cause of death by disease in children, and survivors commonly have long-term health effects from chemotherapy and radiation. Better treatments are greatly needed, but research into improving childhood cancer treatments is underfunded.

Emily Whitehead's life was saved using a revolutionary cancer treatment called CAR T-cell therapy, a type of immunotherapy. Emily's immune cells were activated to recognize and attack cancer. Thanks to this advancement in childhood cancer research, Emily is healthy and more than seven years cancer free.

About Emily Whitehead Foundation

We want every child fighting cancer to activate their cure. Emily's life was saved using an innovative new cancer treatment called CAR T-cell therapy. In 2012, she was the first child in the world to have her immune cells trained to fight cancer. Today, she is more than nine years cancer-free.

Our mission is to Activate The Cure® for childhood cancer by raising awareness and funding for innovative childhood cancer treatments that are less toxic and more targeted, such as immunotherapy, and to support families fighting childhood cancer.
