About Our Auction

This annual event directly supports the literacy programs of East Nashville Hope Exchange. Last year, our literacy programs went virtual and the learning continued! In 2021 for six weeks in the summer, ENHE provided in-person literacy instruction to over 50 students from kindergarten through fifth grade. It goes without saying that this past year has been difficult – our students needed the extra support to maintain or grow their literacy skills. The need will continue into this school year.

ENHE summer programs focus on 5 core components: individualized literacy instruction, social-emotional learning, thematic learning on the topic “My Family, My Community, My World”, family engagement, and FUN! Children enjoy learning through instruction by certified teachers, projects with members of the community, special events and presentations, daily Guest Readers, and field trips.

The ENHE School Year Program is designed to help families support their children in reaching grade-level reading skills on a long-term basis. We offer support to families through monthly workshops, home visits, and school visits, helping them guide their children’s learning and follow progress through the school year.
