About Cornucopia Project
OUR MISSION
At a time when our industrial food system disconnects us from where food comes from and our community’s health is challenged by a lack of access to healthy food choices and knowledge about growing and preparing food, the Cornucopia Project’s mission is to creatively work to positively affect the health and well-being of our community, our region and world. We do this by developing and delivering interactive experiential educational programs and teaching models, adapted to a variety of learning spaces, from gardens to classrooms and kitchens. Cornucopia’s programs connect people of all ages to real food and to each other.
We increase our impact by partnering with organizations that share our core values of:
-Good Health
-Effective Education
-Resilient Community
OUR VISION
The Cornucopia Project envisions a healthier and more connected Monadnock Region. We work in partnership with educators, health professionals, environmental advocates and food producers to build a resilient community, where access to healthy food is matched by a rich understanding of the role of food and agriculture in human health and environmental sustainability.
Our success will be measured by:
-Improved health of all community members (aligned with Healthy Monadnock goals)
-An increase in locally grown and produced food
-A more resilient economy with local food-based entrepreneurs
-More opportunities for our community to connect with, learn and engage on topics of vital concern to our future.
