About Volunteers in Medicine
VIM was established 15 years ago as the only full service,
full time clinic in northeastern PA offering free
healthcare services to low income working
families. Patients work so aren’t eligible
for Medicaid but they can’t afford
medical insurance. Many families
are choosing between food and
housing over health insurance.
