60th Birthday Celebration Fundraiser

Here at the Clarke Museum, we believe that history should be accessible to everyone. We offer a variety of programs on our region’s local history, highlighting the lesser known stories and delving deeper into the well-known ones. These programs are shared through exhibits, programs, presentations, and tours – currently in digital form.

Funds raised from this auction will help us continue to bring history to everyone in our community. The museum has been closed to the public since March 17, aside from a few open days in early July before rising COVID-19 numbers closed museums down again. We’ve lost a significant amount of income due to the closure, as we rely on visitor donations and gift shop purchases to fund key parts of our operations. If we had been open, we estimate we would have received $6,250 in donations. Instead, we received a little over $100 in the four days we were open.

With your support, we can keep working to achieve our mission of celebrating the rich and varied history of Northwestern California by preserving, sharing, and interpreting that history in ways that increase knowledge, enrich the spirit, engage the mind, and stimulate the imagination.
